Overview
The challenge, the solution, the outcome.
Challenge
Polycor — the world's largest natural stone quarrying company with 40+ quarries, 12 manufacturing plants, 900+ employees, and a portfolio spanning granite, marble, limestone, and soapstone — needed a sophisticated digital presence that could serve four completely different business segments simultaneously: Architectural & Urban Landscaping, Slabs & Tiles, Hardscapes & Masonry, and Quarries & Blocks. The platform also needed to support a family of sub-brands, bilingual content (EN/FR), design tools for architects, and a global project portfolio featuring landmark buildings.
Solution
Wire Studio designed and built a premium multi-segment web platform with four distinct business sub-sites, each with tailored navigation, product catalogues, and conversion flows. The platform included a stone finder tool, a project portfolio showcasing iconic landmarks (Empire State Building, MoMA, Grande Arche de la Défense), a suite of design tools (stone calculator, project visualizer, BIM objects, CAD hatch patterns, 3D textures), a resource centre with spec sheets and sustainability certifications, bilingual EN/FR support, and a Polycor University education hub.
Outcome
A world-class multi-segment digital platform that positions Polycor as the premium authority in natural stone — connecting architects, designers, contractors, and raw material buyers to the right products, resources, and expertise across four distinct business lines.
